On Peter Job on his death bed, a poem
Half ready is your latest work
that on the easel stands
A window on a world so calm,
where perfect light not ends
To pay respect your painter friend
made sketches at your bed
He noticed how you clutched the sheets
and drew with care your hands
The painter Peter Job dedicated his life to the woods and scenery of Plasmolen, the nothern most part of the Dutch province of Limburg. His neighbour and friend Jacques van Mourik came to pay respect and made a drawing of the corps. The drawing can be seen in the castle of Arcen, the Netherlands.
