von John & Yoko, The Plastic Ono Band with The Harlem Community Choir. „War Is Over“ war eine von John Lennon und Yoko Ono organisierte Aktion zu Weihnachten 1969 um für den Frieden zu werben. Auf den weltweit zu sehenden Plakaten stand: "WAR IS OVER! IF YOU WANT IT Happy Christmas from John & Yoko" Der Song schließt mit den Worten: „...frohe Weihnachten und ein glückliches neues Jahr Hoffen wir, dass es gut wird; Ohne Angst. Der Krieg ist vorbei. Wenn du es willst...“
